Denise
Pittillo has been recognized as the Outstanding Teacher in Health
Education by the NC Association for the Advancement of Health Education.
She currently teaches at Apple Valley Middle School in Henderson County
and serves on the NCAAHE Board. She finds that her students "enjoy
the content of Health Education and are particularly interested in
friendships, resolving conflict, dating relationships, and communication."
Denise trains for the Center in Family Life Education, Project TNT, Puberty Education,
HIV Prevention, and Successfully Teaching Middle School Health. She
was also a writer of "Successfully
Teaching Middle School Health II."
