Additional workshops in comprehensive school health education:

Successfully Teaching Middle School Health II is a workshop based on the NCAAHE-produced manual of the same name. Trainers model and demonstrate creative and participatory activities that meet the objectives in the NC Course of Study in Healthful Living Education, grades 6-8.

Successfully Teaching High School Health II is a fun and interactive workshop to help high school teachers implement a skills-approach to preventing the serious health risks for youth.

Health is Academic (for central office staff) brings together school health coordinators, lead school nurses, student support coordinators, child nutrition directors, physical education directors, and others who are part of a coordinated school health program. The workshop assists school personnel with communicating and collaborating between the eight-component model supported by CDC and shows how healthy schools enhance academic achievement.

Assessing Health Literacy is a two-day training on how to assess student performance in Healthful Living Education. Participants work with the HealthHELP CD-ROM, the Assessing Health Literacy notebook, and see examples of student portfolios.
