Martine Powell
Martine Powell is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has worked as a Women’s Health Educator in Greensboro, North Carolina and Program Director of the College Bound Sisters Program (teen pregnancy prevention initiative) located on the campus of UNC Greensboro. Martine is passionate about health education and has more than 15 years of experience in working with young people of all ages in the area education, prevention and advocacy. In 2000, Martine was recognized by the Women’s Professional Forum of Greensboro for her professional contributions and accomplishments in the area of health. Martine believes that it is critically important that all young people are provided the opportunity to receive comprehensive health education and the skills to succeed in life. Martine is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her husband of nine years and their three year old son.
